Fine Press Cards

In letterpress lingo, a dingbat is a small decorative element in typesetting, often used collectively to create borders. Our Dingbat Tree is hand set using decorative border dingbats, and printed on GMUND 100% white cotton cardstock, letterpress perfect for its softness and strength. Each comes with an Original Crown Mill laid envelope in cream. Card size (folded): 110mm X 155mm  

Our Night Before Christmas card features an excerpt from Clement Clarke Moore’s iconic poem ‘A Visit from St. Nicholas’.  Printed on GMUND 100% white cotton cardstock with hand set type, the words are accompanied by an original hand-engraved mouse by artist Kain White. Each comes with an Original Crown Mill laid envelope in cream. The Love in Languages card features 24 words for ‘love’ in different languages. Each has been hand-set and letterpress printed at The Harebrained Press. Card size (folded) 115mm X 170mm.

This letterpress design is a homage to the language of love. It features the word 'love' as it appears in 39 different languages across the world. The print itself, limited to an edition of 25, is taken from type that has been handset by R.I. Sutton and is printed on 160 gsm Pescia Editions Magnani 100% Cotton Paper using a Western Proof Press. Each sheet is 10 X 13 inches and the image is approximately 6 X 8 inches (sold unframed). Individual prints are hand numbered, signed, and include a translation key.
